Secondary transport in Brussels: your adapted medical transfers with Healthcare Group

Non-urgent medical-health transfer

Do you need to be transferred from a hospital to a rehabilitation or nursing care facility? Do you have a medical appointment? Are you returning home after a hospital stay? If you are a person with reduced mobility (PRM), sitting or lying down, require medical supervision or need oxygen, you can benefit from an ambulance for your non-urgent medical or health transfers.

If you live in one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, call on the ambulance services of Healthcare Group SRL in Saint-Gilles.

Advantage of secondary transport by ambulance

Secondary transport is an approved ambulance service that is reimbursed. In contrast, the costs of a health transport by VSL (light medical vehicle) taxi are at your own expense.

We remind you that secondary transport is different from primary transport, i.e. that concerning vital emergencies. Indeed, primary transport requires the presence of a nurse or emergency doctor. However, on board the secondary transport, the equipment is adapted (lying position, oxygen, etc.) and the staff is qualified for appropriate supervision.
